Good Commuter Backpack, slow shipping

I picked up a Commuter Backpack. The bag itself is great for my daily cycle, plenty of space for my laptop and some clothes. The pockets are well-designed. Are Timbuk2 bags actually waterproof, or just water-resistant? Getting a new commuter bag and it rains a lot here.

They're pretty good, like very water-resistant. My stuff has always stayed dry inside during heavy downpours on my bike. I wouldn't go swimming with it, but for rain, it's solid.

My messenger bag has been through some serious Seattle weather and everything inside was fine. They use good materials that repel water well. Not fully submersible, but more than just 'splash proof'.

Mine took about 2 weeks to get to me in Brooklyn, and that was for a custom one. They do make them special so it's not like off the shelf.

Yeah, I think for custom stuff it's a bit longer. Maybe plan for at least 10-14 business days, just to be safe. It's worth it though, they're super durable.

Timbuk2 feels a bit more refined and office-friendly to me, but still super tough. Chrome is more raw, sometimes bulkier, definitely more of a cycling vibe.

I've had both! Timbuk2 is great for everyday and travel, really good organization. Chrome is awesome if you're a hardcore bike messenger or just want something that feels indestructible and don't mind the more utilitarian look.

Nah, they usually only let you use one promo code at a time. Had to pick between my student discount and a Black Friday deal last year.

Pretty sure it's one code per order. You'll probably have to verify your student status with ID.me or something, so it's not just a regular code you can combine.
